Jewelry Creations Club - Nature Paw-ty! Inspired by the colors and the critters of the great outdoors, campers will design and create classic jewelry pieces and personalized treasures like backpack pulls, bookmarks and shrink art while learning pro-techniques like beading, crimping and wiring with instructor Mrs. Carrie Lyons. Nature Engineers - Science Camp: Campers will be guided to grow a deeper understanding of Earth science, Biology and Environmental STEAM through outdoor discovery and indoor investigations with Hagemann Elementary teacher, Mrs. Stephanie Bailey. Summer Camp Week 2: July 13-16Community Education Summer CampCommunity Education Summer Camp at Oakville Elementary Week 2: July 13-16 Earth Aware Art Camp: Grounded in the creation of art sourced from recycled and found materials, camp artists in grades 1-5 will have a choice each day to create what they are taught in mini lessons or to delve into their own inner artist to create with the specific materials provided. Oakville Elementary art teacher, Mr. Brian Adams will instruct this empowering and imaginative camp experience!Bricks 4 Kidz | Once Upon a Galaxy: Every build tells a story! Campers will embark on thrilling adventures through enchanted kingdoms and faraway galaxies—all through the power of building with LEGO® bricks! Come experience this stellar, magical adventure! Each day will be a new adventure as campers build a virtual world with LEGO® bricks! Campers will build their favorite video game inspired characters. All campers take home a custom-made mini figure.STL Chess Club - Grades 1-5: Develop chess skills, strategy, and critical thinking while fostering sportsmanship and logical planning.Jewelry Creations Club - Stages and Screens: Campers will design and create one-of-a-kind, classic jewelry pieces, beaded accessories like bookmarks and backpack pulls, and shrink art - each inspired by the sights and sounds of music & theatre, TV, movies and video games. Mrs. Carrie Lyons guides the creative process while providing hands-on instruction of pro-level techniques like crimping, wrapping and stamping.Science Camp - Build It and Launch It! Become a junior engineer and discover the secrets behind how things move and fly! Summer Camp Week 4: July 27-30Community Education Summer CampCommunity Education Summer Camp at Oakville Elementary Week 4: July 28-31 Bricks 4 Kidz - Mining & Crafting Adventures: Inspired by their favorite block-based crafting video game, campers will bring the pixelated world to life as they build with LEGO® bricks and motorize amateur LEGO® robotic builds. Jewelry Creations Club - Endless Summer Fun: Summer memories will sparkle as campers are guided to design and personalize, bold jewelry and souvenir-style pieces like keychains, bookmarks, bag pulls, inspired by blue skies, sunsets while envisioning endless summer fun. STL Chess Club: Develop chess skills, strategy, and critical thinking while fostering sportsmanship and logical planning.
